Courses:

All (but No. 7) Jack Nicklaus designed.

Renegade - Once described by Golf Magazine as “the most versatile course in the world,” Renegade was the first of the six Jack Nicklaus Signature Courses to open at Desert Mountain in 1987.

  • 18 holes – Par 72 – 7,933 yards

Cochise - Cochise played host to The Tradition, the first major on the Senior PGA Tour. During his hall of fame career, course designer Jack Nicklaus won the event here four times.

  • 18 holes – Par 72 – 7,042 yards

Geronimo – The most visually intimidating of the courses at Desert Mountain, this course starts with a 570-yard par-5 that tees off with a 200 yard carry over desert to a wide fairway and follows with a demanding second shot to get into attack position. Don’t let the forgiving nature of the first nine holes deceive you — the back nine will surely test your skills.

  • 18 holes – Par 72 – 7,293 yards
Apache – Desert Mountain’s links style course winds through gentle desert terrain, pot hole bunkers, onto large greens with forgiving grassy catch areas.  Be careful with your putts.  It is not uncommon for your first putt to turn into your second chip.
  • 18 holes – Par 72 - 7,211 yards

Chiricahua – A favorite of Members and their guests, and this course presents elevation changes that range from 3,000 feet to its highest point of 3,300 feet, with eight holes that play downhill, nine that play uphill, and one that plays sideways for a very nice combination. The fifth Jack Nicklaus course at Desert offers outstanding views of Metro Phoenix and Scottsdale as it stands atop of the 8,000 acre community.

  • 18 holes – Par 72 – 7,247 yards

Outlaw – Another traditional links style course, Outlaw will separate the casual golfers from the serious ones.  Adjacent to the Tonto National Forest, with no homes built around the greens, this course allows you to play golf as it was meant to be played.  Bring your controlled shots and strategy, for those that “go big or go home” on this course, will be heading home with a few less balls, but a true appreciation for the beauty of the course and the game.

  • 18 holes – Par 72 – 7,107 yards

Seven – The newest kid to the Desert Mountain class,  No. 7 offers members and guests a quick and fun round, designed for the social golfers.  With an average play time of 2 hrs and 45 minutes, this is a great course to walk and with a special handicap system designed by two Desert Mountain members (Bill Brownlee and Wendell Pickett) for match play experience, this is a course for all to enjoy.

  • 18 holes – Par 54 – 3,114 yards
